I agree with your second reason but not with your first reason. I think that as many people as possible should be happy in society. However, you considered only companies. Most countries around the world consist of many employees and a few companies.  This means that the number of the employees is much bigger than companies. So for many people to be happy, I think that employees should be considered as well as companies
