I admit that mentally immature teenagers can make mistakes. But can the school violence and murder committed by teenagers be called mistakes? No matter how immature they are, they can distinguish right from wrong. And more importantly, teens of today are mature enough to commit severe crime. They are never immature. They even commit heavier crime taking advantage of being their minors. Therefore, I disagree that juvenile offenders should be protected because of their mental immaturity.
