< Telemedicine system is useful >

Since last year, the Covid-19 pandemic has reduced people’s chances of going outside. Especially, there were people who could not go to the hospital even if they were sick due to fear of Covid-19 infection. At the present, telemedicine systems have already been adopted in many countries aboard. So I think the Korean government should adopt the telemedicine system qucikly.

Firstly, if telemedicine systems are implemented, they can be treated efficiently even in areas far from hospitals. Unlike cities where hospitals are concentrated, there are many places in the countryside where even small hospitals do not exist. Also, there are many places where people need to drive for hours to get medical treatment, In this case, if a telemedicine system exists, people living in rural areas can save time by simply getting prescribed without having to drive to the hospital for hours.

Secondly, slight symptoms can be prescribed quickly. Some people may feel burdened with the time and cost of going to the hospital to visit the hospital with a slight cold. Also, hospital’s opening hours are usually short, so it is difficult for people who go to work or school to visit the hospital on weekdays. In this case, I think that if people get mdical treatment through a remote system, you can save time and easily get medical treatment on weekdays.

Thirdly, it can be useful in the event of another Pendemic crisis, such as Corona 19. People who are thought to be suspected Corona 19 patients, can lower their risk of spreading Corona by telling symptoms and being diagnosed through the telemedicine system. Also, as mentioned above, there will be fewer people who want to go to the hospital because they are sick, but cannot because of the risk of corona infection.

For this reason, I think the Korean government should adopt the telemedicine system as soon as possible.
