I agree that the disposal of the tumbler will result in much more carbon emissions than disposable cups. But when disposable products are processed, they don't just burn. A lot of trash is being discharged into the sea, and a lot of sea life is under threat because of this waste. I don't think it's a reasonable comparison to compare just carbon emissions from the perspective of waste disposal.
