[2317 이정환] I read your article well. I accept some of your opinion, but I think the sentence 'No matter how hard the zoo staff try to get the animals back, it is only artificial nature that has been made so, not to mean they can survive if they return to the wild.' is wrong. These days, zoos are trying hard to create an environment where animals actually live. As you said, the environment created like this is artificial, but as much as possible, similar to the real environment. Also, when a zoo wants to send an animal back to the wild, it carries out some training for the animal to return to the wild and returns the animal back to the wild when it is enough to live in the wild. Therefore, I think it is a wrong opinion that they cannot survive when they return to the wild.

[2219 이상현] I partly agree with your opinion that it is better to prevent further damage than to improve your zoo system. But there are also cases that strongly need zoos. For example, zoos can be a refuge for animals abandoned or rescued in nature, as well as endangered animals. Also, animals that were already born and raised in zoos cannot return to nature because they are adapted to the zoo. For these cases, zoo is the only way to help them out. Therefore, I think the zoo system should be maintained along with the improvement of the system.

I mostly agree with your points but I have different opinion with you in some point. Particularly the part that human should governing the planet to establish a system around the world and prevent further damage, rather than keeping them in jails called zoos. The problem is that the distribution of endangered animals is not even across countries. In the case of lions, they only live in Africa and not in other countries. Koalas live only in Australia. As you claim, endangered animals with narrow habitats are only managed in a few countries. If the countries fail to build a system, the animals become extinct on Earth. Protecting endangered animals through zoos can help countries around the world manage endangered animals more efficiently by participating in animal protection. Moreover, it will play a major role in recognizing that the protection of endangered animals is not just a matter for one country but also for the world by triggering interest of world zoo visiters.
