(1820이희주)I agree with you. In particular, it was very interesting that you considered animal rights in your statements ‘zoos violate animals' freedom and do not respect their rights’. Ethically, it's against the spirit of life respect to keep animals locked up in zoos and having fun in watching them. I also agree that zoos have limitations in creating a suitable environment for animals as the original nature. Therefore I agree with the abolition of the zoo systems.

(1802 김나영) Right. We should guarantee animal's freedom and their rights. Some people tend to think that animal's status is under the human's. But they are equal. We need to get out of human-centered view. And also not only zoos have limitations in creating a suitable environment for animals as the original nature, but also not all zoos created equal. If we compare with zoo animals in rich country and in poor country, these two environments are totally different. So this phenomenon can be very fatal to zoo animals in poor country.

(1821 장혜원) I agree with your arguement. Recent reasearch have shown that only 1 out of 10 aniamls in zoos are endagered species. This makes it clear that zoo does not mainly operate for its original purpose of conserving animals. It operates for the economical beneifts of the zoo owners. This claim could be supported by zoo's 'moves' such as animals shows or 'special event' of dissecting aniamls. As we know, these events are known to bring excitement to both children and adult, however in the perspective of an animal, it is just a disguised brutility. Therefore I agree with your point that zoo system should be abolished.

(1802 김나영) Originally, zoos should be operated with the purpose of protecting endangered animals. However, currently, many zoos are operated with the commercial purpose. As you say, special event of dissecting animals is conducting for the economical benefits of the zoo owners. Also, although it can bring excitement to both children and adult, animals that have no fault have to suffer because of it. So, we should find the solution. I think one of the proper solutions is the abolotion of the zoo systems.

[1518 이은채] I have a different opinion from you. The greater the influence of humans on the environment, the more difficult it will be for animals to adapt themselves to the changing environment. In view of this, it is helpful to prevent the extinction of the species that humans provide them with an appropriate environment for these animals.

(1802 김나영) Thank you for reading my essay! I understood what you want to say. But my argument's point was that humans are not the master of nature. And most of animals in zoo are suffering because of human-made limited space. What animals really need is their freedom and living by their instinct. We should not ignore their rights. Also, I think that zoos are not appropriate environment for animals. As I mentioned in my essay, according to scientists, the animals behavior that tend to pace back and forth inside their small cages represents an attempt to cope with boredom and small enclosures. So, I think zoos are not appropriate environment for animals.
