(1802 김나영) I was very impressive with your arguments. But my opinion is different with you. First, you said that zoos can provide a suitable environment for endangered species. However, most of the reasons why endangered animals exist is because of human's indiscriminate destory to the natural environment or global warming. It is contradictory to argue that the zoo system should be maintained to protect endangered animals that exist mostly due to human error. And you said that zoos make people have a sense of protection for animals at the second argument. But I think that people don't necessarily need zoos to understand and recognize animal protection. These days, we can see animals in virtual reality. For example, SK telecom provided service of AR zoo. In AR zoo, real animals don't exist. Like this, people can have sense of protection for animals by using AR zoo or watching video about animal protection. Lastly, like your third argument, if every zoo is developing for animals, I would agree with your argument. But in reality, except few zoo, many zoos are being operated with the commercial purpose. In instance, most zoos have special shows such as monkey show and dolphin show which mean that they are being operated with focus on 'human excitement' rather than 'animal's freedom.' Although I respect your arguments, for these preceding reasons, I have different opinion from yours.

김나영 :
(1612 오윤서) First of all, thank you very much for coming up with a lot of counterargument to my article. You said that it is a contradiction that zoos protect animals because they are endangered because of humans, but can you say that there is no role to protect animals in zoos? Wouldn't it be best to protect these animals from further damage when the environment has already deteriorated? I also think people can see zoos protect endangered animals and have a will to practice environmental protection.
I think your second argument is something I've never thought of before. You said people can have a mind to protect animals through virtual reality, but if they meet and interact with them in the zoo, the effect will be even greater and last longer. But I think using virtual reality is also very good !!
Finally, you pointed out that most zoos operate for commercial purposes. But if some zoos take the lead in developing, I think many zoos around the world will change. Now is a process that is still changing, so there are many commercial zoos, but over time the zoo will gradually move towards caring for animals.
Thank you very much for reading my argument and offering me a deep rebuttal.
