[2316 윤지섭] Your conclusion can be judged by the error of generalization. The fact that game addiction makes daily life difficult is just an intersection with diseases not a subset. As you say, addiction symptoms of all factors (SNS, YouTube, webtoons, etc.) that can be addictive in everyday life lead to the conclusion that it is a disease. This conclusion rather makes the category of addiction unclear due to inaccurate boundaries.
You also misunderstand the concept of addiction. Addiction is largely divided into substance addiction and behavioral addiction. Alcohol, drug addiction is substance addiction, gaming, and Internet addiction are behavioral addiction. Behavioral addiction, compared to substance addiction is not caused by one uniform factor, but by complex interactions with various factors, such as the surrounding environment. In this respect, your analogy of alcoholism and game addiction seems inappropriate. Also, the fundamental reason behavioral addiction occurs is under self-control, which is again associated with self-esteem. In other words, a person who loses self-control will become addicted to something that can become addicted within his environment to restore self-esteem, which can be a sport or even a cartoon or a movie, not just a game. That is, if the factor that causes self-control to converge to zero is present in the environmental component, we are at risk of being addicted to it at any time, and in your opinion, all should be classified as disease in the end of the day. In the end, these vague criteria create the problem of comorbidity. According to Chung Eui-joon, a research team at Konkuk University, the brain connection between the pure Internet addiction group and the ADHD co-existing Internet addiction group is quite similar. In other words, gaming disorders can be a type of ADHD. This, in turn, leads to ambiguous situations in which people differ in interpretation if they define gaming disorders as official diseases without clearly distinguishing them from other comorbidity.

[2602 김수영] I agree with you. As you say, Game addiction makes daily life impossible and causes complications. Recently, crimes by game addicts, such as the incident in which a father killed a child because the child interfered with a game, are becoming a social problem and this can lead to social loss. If game addiction is classified as a disease, the government can treat game addicts more efficiently. Health insurance will reduce the cost burden for game addicts.

[2712 박한솔] I admit that game addiction is similar to common addiction in that it makes everyday life impossible and causes various diseases. But there is a lack of grounds to classify game addiction as a disease. There are many side effects when games cause addiction, but there is no research on exactly what kind of games to play and how much game addiction to play. But I don't think some game addicts classify game addiction as a disease, which can make all games critical.
